K.V.G Dental College was established and started functioning on October 2nd, 1991. The institution is sponsored by the Academy of Liberal Education (Regd.), Sullia D.K. From its humble beginnings, it has grown to its present stature under the able and dynamic leadership of the Founder President of A.O.L.E., Sri.Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda. The Dental College first started functioning with a student strength of 40. The clinical section of the Dental College started functioning in a wing of the K.V.G Hospital and Research Centre, Sullia, in January 1993.
H K E Society's Dental College With the very humble beginning in 1986, under Gulbarga University the college started with the 1st batch of 40 students in the dental wing of Govt. Hospital. The basic medical sciences were handled by the able faculty of Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College. The then President of India Late Shri Gyani Zail Singh, on 9th Jan.1987 laid the foundation stone for the three storeyed building on seven acres of H.K.E.
Government Dental College Ever since the inception of Medical College, Kottayam nearly 40 years back a Dental Department was attached to it. However, later it was realised that the nature of work that was under taken mainly was Oral Surgical. Hence in 1992 the Dental Department was re-designated as Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

Seema Dental College is being established to turn out dental surgeons of the first rank. In affiliation with the Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Srinagar, Garhwal (Uttaranchal), the college offers a four year Degree Course in Bachelors of Dentistry (B.D.S.), to be followed by a one-year compulsory rotatory internship. There will be an annual intake of one hundred students in one academic session.
