LIBA, established in 1979, is a premier management institute known for its academic excellence and value-based education. It provides management education to both fresh graduates seeking world-class management education and also to those who are already employed and want to enhance their managerial skills. The Post Graduate Diploma in Management (full-time) is being offered since 1995. Both the part-time and the full-time PGDM programmes are approved by the AICTE and the full-time programme is recognised by the AIU as equivalent to the MBA degree of Indian Universities. LIBA also has collaborations with several Universities overseas and seeks to imbibe a global mindset in its students. The U.S. Srivastava Memorial Educational Society, Lucknow has been working the field of education for the last 18 years. Under its auspices it has a school – Sherwood Academy affiliated to ISC, Sherwood College of Management which offers an MBA program approved by AICTE and affiliated to U.P. Technical University and Sherwood College of Professional Management which offers BBA, BBA-Tourism, and BCA programs affiliated to University of Lucknow, Lucknow. The society is now setting up a new educational campus comprising of an engineering college, a pharmacy college and a business school. All three colleges will be operational from the academic session 2007-2008. The campus is fully residential spread over 20 acres with separate boys and girls hostels and teachers quarters. The colleges are built with the latest technology and best possible facilities are available in the campus. Born with the zeal and mission to be among the most admired centres of world class education to foster academic excellence and to bring together the tradition and ethics of India, U.S. Srivastava Memorial Educational Society was formed in 1989 by an eminent engineer and visionary Er. K.B. Lal. The society has since been consistently pursuing the task of fulfilling its cherished aim of creating talent resource in the fields of education, training, research and consultancy, thereby adding value to the community, society, corporate and the nation at large. Since 1997, the society has been in the forefront in the field of imparting comprehensive management and technical courses at graduate and post graduate levels. Library: The Students can avail library facility both at the Department and at the University�s Central Library. The Department Library spread over 1100 sqm. is having seating capacity of 120 students. The Library is housing around 20000 volumes under more than 5000 titles. There are 100 journals of national and international being subscribed regularly. Equipped with reprographic and networking facility, the working hour of the Faculty Library is from 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM. The Library also provides subject-wise press clippings in folders, statistical abstracts, and annual reports of a large number of Private and public sector companies, financial institutions, case studies, working papers, reprints, microfilms, education video films etc. The Library is well organized with a Bibliography data base of books and periodicals. Computer Lab: The Faculty has a state of the art computer lab with the latest available software. The lab consisting of 50 computers is available for use to the students in Class and non-class hours. High quality software is used for grading course registration, faculty feed back. Attendance in class, conducting on line evaluation etc. has also been installed on the network. . WiFi Campus : The Faculty is equipped with WiFi Technology. Internet is accessible from all the classrooms, seminar Halls, Library, teachers� chambers are covered and even in the nearby areas of the Faculty building.
