The main root of the current Zhejiang University, Qiushi Academy, was founded in 1897 and was one of the earliest modern academies of higher education in China. Since 1901 Qiushi Academy had its name changed several times, and even was once suspended. In 1927, on the historic site of the academy, the Third Natinal Sun Yat-sen University was established.On April 1, 1928, it was renamed Zhejiang University. Since July 1, 1928, it had been known as National Zhejiang University with three schools, namely School of Engineering, School of Agriculture and School of Liberal Arts and Science.
Keio University traces its beginnings to the original Keio Gijuku, an institution of Western learning unlike any other in Japan in its time. Founder Yukichi Fukuzawa (1835-1901) was a man of uncommon courage, vision, and wisdom who defied the established powers of the time and pursued knowledge above all else, endeavoring to understand the society and morals of 19th century civilization in Europe and North America. His beliefs were very progressive in a Japan that was just beginning to awake from centuries of isolation.
The institution now known as Duke University was founded in Randolph County, NC, in 1838, as Brown’s Schoolhouse. By 1859, it had been renamed Trinity College. Trinity College moved to Durham and what is now East Campus in 1892.
singhua University was established in 1911, originally under the name “Tsinghua Xuetang”. The school was renamed "Tsinghua School" in 1912. The university section was founded in 1925. The name “National Tsinghua University” was adopted in 1928.
Stanford University In 1876, former California Governor Leland Stanford purchased 650 acres of Rancho San Francisquito for a country home and began the development of his famous Palo Alto Stock Farm. He later bought adjoining properties totaling more than 8,000 acres. The little town that was beginning to emerge near the land took the name Palo Alto (tall tree) after a giant California redwood on the bank of San Francisquito Creek. The tree itself is still there and would later become the university's symbol and centerpiece of its official seal.
University of WAIKATO From modest beginnings on what was largely farmland, the University of Waikato has grown to a student population of about 13,000 of whom more than 4800 complete a qualification annually. Today the University employs 2000 academic and support staff, making a significant contribution to the local and national economy.

Year 1911 witnessed the birth of Bihar after the coronation of king George V at Delhi. Bihar was geographically partitioned in two parts north and south with river Ganga in between. L.S. College (previously known as Greer Bhumihar Brahmin College) was the only educational institution in north Bihar. In the legal education Patna Law College was the only college affiliated to Patna University till 1948.
The prestigious institution B.J.S.R. Jain College was established in 1934 just 13 years before our independence. Initially it was founded as a middle school at Dauji Road, in the heart of the city by Late Sh. Bahadur Mal Jaskaran Sidhkaran within one year of its beginning the institute was promoted to high school. In 1945 it was again raised to Intermediate college. In 1937, the institute was converted to Degree College. Since then the institute has been marching ahead with a multi-faculty postgraduate institution. It is one of the prominent institution in private sector.
NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY, DELHI established in 2008 by Act No.1 of 2008 of National Capital Territory of Delhi and with the initiative of High Court of Delhi is another Law University in the list of premier law Universities established in India. The vision of the University is to create a Global Legal Institution which will compete with the best outside India and to prepare Lawyers for a legal career that introduces them to wide range of opportunities in legal profession across the globe.
