IIT Rajasthan is one among the new set of IITs announced by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. The location of the IIT in Rajasthan will be announced by the Govt. of India after completion of the formalities of land acquisition for setting up the new IIT in Rajasthan. However, in the meantime, IIT Kanpur has been designated as the mentor IIT for looking after the incubation activities of the new IIT in Rajasthan. The academic session in IIT Rajasthan will commence from August 2008.
Rajasthan Ayurved University, Jodhpur is the first Ayurved University of Rajasthan and is the second University of it's kind in India, . The Rajasthan Ayurveda University was established by RAU Act -2002 (Act No. 15 of 2002) which came into force w.e.f. may 24, 2003 vide Gazette Notification no. F25 (6) Ay. /2000 dated May 24,2003. This university has now affiliated all the 44 colleges/institutions of Ayurved, Unani, Homeopathy, and about 7000 students are pursuing their UG, PG, Diploma and Doctoral Studies.
Swami Keshawanand Rajasthan Agricultural University formerly a part of the Sukhadia University, Udaipur, became a separate entity on Ist of August 1987 as a consequence of promulgation of an Ordinance (Ordinance No. 13 of 1987) by the Government of Rajasthan which was later enacted by an Act of Rajasthan State Legislation (Act No. 39 of 1987).
The Kerala Agricultural University is the primary and the principal instrumentality of the Kerala State in providing human resources, and skills and technology, required for the sustainable development of its agriculture, defined broadly encompassing all production activities based on land and water, including crop production (agriculture), animal husbandry, forestry and fishery through conducting, interfacing and integrating education, research and extension in these spheres of economic endeavour.
American Institute of Chemical Engineers’ Directory published recently shows that the number of Masters and Ph.D. students per faculty member in the Chemical Engineering Education is the highest in the world for MUICT. In a recent survey conducted by IIM, Bangalore on the relevance of academic research that has contributed to product or process improvements in the industry, MUICT appears in number one position for both chemical and pharmaceutical fields. Total 71 firms participating the survey, cited 106 academic researchers from 56 institutes.
National Institute Of Technical Teachers' Training and Research (Formerly TTTI), Chandigarh is one of the four institutes established by the Government of India in 1967 for the development of technical education in the country with focus on the states of the Northern Region. The institute had the collaboration of the Royal Netherlands Government for a period of seven years in the initial stage.
Bharathidasan University established in February 1982, and was named after the great revolutionary Tamil Poet, Bharathidasan (1891-1968). The motto of the University "We will create a brave new world" has been framed from Bharathidasan's poetic words "புதியதோர் உலகம் செய்வோம்". Jadavpur University is a State University in the state of West Bengal. Its parent institution was set up by the National Council of Education, Bengal, in 1906. After India's independence, the institution was converted to a University under the First Jadavpur University Act in 1955. Jadavpur University has been declared a University with Potential for Excellence by the University Grants Commission.
