Amity Law School (ALS) has been ranked as one of the Top-10 law schools in the country in a recent survey conducted by India Today-AC NIELSEN -ORG-MARG.

Amity Law School has the unique distinction of being the first Law School in Delhi to start a 5-year integrated LL.B (H) programme. The School was established under the Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (RBEF) to achieve world-class legal education in the country. Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, the Founder President of the Law School is a great philanthropist and a man of extraordinary vision. This vision of his has been translated into practical reality through the establishment of various educational institutions he has set up including the Amity Law School. His vision for the Law School is to provide excellence in legal education and to produce quality lawyers with good moral principles and great human values. The School has been granted affiliation by the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi for running a 5-year Integrated LL.B(H) programme and the affiliation has been approved by the Bar Council of India. The programme seeks to promote multi-disciplinary analysis of the socio-legal problems by designing its course-structure and teaching methods to realize these objectives. The methods of teaching in the Law School include lecture discussions, case law analysis, moot court training, project assignment and placement programmes. In addition, the School organizes seminars on contemporary legal issues, conducts clinical courses and trains students in legal research and legal writing. By the time a student completes the 5-year programme he/she will be fully equipped with the required theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the field of law to become a full-fledged responsible member of the legal profession.

Faculty: 
Excellence in legal education can be achieved only by enduring efforts and dedicated teamwork on the part of the management, faculty and students alike. The School has a well-qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty who are committed to the cause of quality legal education. The institute has been organizing every year faculty development/orientation programmes. The faculty members are being deputed regularly for UGC Orientation/Refresher programmes as well as the In-house Faculty Development Programmes organized by the Amity Academic Staff College. They are also nominated to participate in seminars and workshops organized by the Law School as well as other organizations and universities in and outside Delhi. The faculty has also been involved in research work in their respective areas of specialization and has been publishing articles in reputed journals. Prof. M.L. Upadhyaya, Professor of Law Ph.D ( London) Prof. M.L. Upadhyaya started his career as a Ford Foundation Research Fellow in the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies of the University of London. After taking his Ph.D from University of London, he joined the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi. But soon he went on teaching assignments in Australia and New Zealand. On return, he joined the University of Calcutta as Professor of Law, Head of the Department of Law, Dean, Faculty of Law and Principal, University College of Law in 1975. He also held similar positions in the University of Jabalpur. He was also Director, Central India Law Institute, Jabalpur. He was UGC Visiting Professor of Law in the National Law School of India University, Bangalore. He joined Amity Law School in 2001. Specialization: Constitutional Law, Administrative Law and Land Laws Prof. Prasannam Sundararajan, Reader B.A; B.L; DPPA (Former Addl. District & Sessions Judge, Goa) Prof. P. Sundararajan did his B.A., B.L. and BPPA from Madras University securing first rank in law. He was also recipient of Sir T. Rajagopalachariar’s Endowment Award for proficiency in Jurisprudence. He was directly selected as a Civil Judge through Central Civil Services (Judicial Branch) All India Competitive Examination and has been a part of the judiciary of the State of Goa for more than 22 years at various levels from Sub-magistrate to Addl. District and Session Judge. He also presided over several Administrative and Municipal Tribunals during his tenure. The language and content of some of his judgments were appreciated even by the Supreme Court. He has been on the Faculty of the National Law School of India University, Bangalore from 1997 to 2001. He joined Amity Law School in 2003. Apart from his academic input he is the Co-ordinator of sponsored projects as well as the placement activities of the students Specialization: English and Legal Language, Legal Ethics and Court Craft and Drafting, Pleading and Conveyance. Dr. Kanwal D P Singh, Reader LL.B; LL.M; ICWA; Ph.D Ms. Kanwal DP Singh completed her LL.M with 4 th Rank from Meerut University in 1993. She also passed Group II examination of ICWA in 1992 with distinction in the paper “Production, Productivity and Cost Effectiveness” Presently she has been awarded Ph.D on the topic “Legal Control of Capital Market- A case study of India” from Jamia Millia Islamia. She started her career in 1994 as Legal Manager in FMCG firm in the corporate sector looking after Trademark and Copyright functions and Food Adulteration matters. She also had the experience in legal documentation which consisted of deeds with business associates abroad, partners within the organization and various financial institutions. She has been with Amity Law School since its inception in 1999. Specialization : Company Law, Corporate Law and Taxation Laws Dr. (Ms.) Mona Sharma, Reader B.A (History) ; M.A (History) ; LL.B; Ph.D Dr. (Ms.) Mona Sharma has been a National Merit Scholar in both B.A. & M.A. (History), which she completed from Ch. Charan Singh University. She also has a Degree in Law from the same University. In July 2003, she completed her Doctoral thesis on “Early Indian Trade with special reference to Mauryas” and was awarded Ph.D. She has been teaching in Amity Law School since its inception in 1999. Prior to this, she had taught in Jamia Millia Islamia. Specialization : Ancient Indian History and Indian Legal & Constitutional History. . Dr. (Ms) Ranjul Rastogi, Reader M.A (Economics); LL.B; B.Ed ; Ph.D Dr. (Ms.) Ranjul Rastogi holds Ph.D. in Economics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpor, and M.A. and LL.B Degrees from Allahabad University. She also has a B.Ed. degree from Avadh University. She is a National Merit Scholar from Class XI to M.A. She qualified NET twice and was awarded UGC Junior Research Fellowship and Senior Research Fellowship for Ph.D. Before joining the Amity Law School she taught PGDBF students at the Indian Institute of Finance, Delhi and Commerce graduates at the KS. Saket Post Graduate College, Faizabad. As a Senior Research Associate, she worked on important projects related to capital market under the leadership of Dr.L.C. Gupta, Ex-SEBI Member and Chairman, Derivatives Committee at the Society for Capital Market Research and Development, Delhi. The findings of these projects are published in a book entitled Indian Household Investment Preferences. She also published a number of researched based articles in national and international journals. She is the author of two books entitled Discretionary Managerial Behaviour published by Kluwer Academics publishers, Netherlands and Capital Structure and Corporate Control published by Anmol Publications, Delhi. Specialization : Macroeconomics, Corporate Finance and Securities laws. Ms. Isheeta Rutabhasini, Reader M.A (Pol. Sci.); M.Phil (Pol. Sci.); Pursuing Ph.D Ms. Isheeta Rutabhasini is a graduate in Political Science from the Indraprastha College, Delhi University and completed her Masters and M.Phil degree in Political Science from the Delhi University. She has also cleared the UGC-NET examination. Presently she is pursuing Ph.D on An Analysis of Rural Employment Programmes: A Comparative Study of a Coastal and Highland District of Orissa (1980-95) from Sambalpur University, Orissa. She joined Amity Law School in 2000. Specialization : Political Science & Public Administration Mr. S.P. Srivastava, Sr.Lecturer LL.B; LL.M; Pursuing Ph.D Mr. S.P. Srivastava did his LL.B and LL.M from Banaras Hindu University. He was awarded Gold Medal for securing the first position in LL.M. He started his career as lecturer in Law Centre-I in Delhi University in 1998 and subsequently worked as a Lecturer in the National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata. He joined Amity Law School in 2002. He has published several articles on issues relating to Intellectual Property Law and also prepared case materials on Property Law and Agricultural Law. Specialization : Intellectual Property Law, Labour Law and Law of Contract. Mr. K. M Tripathi, Lecturer B.A; LL.B; LL.M; Pursuing Ph.D Mr. K.M. Tripathi completed his B.A(Hons.) from Banaras Hindu University in 1994, securing the highest marks in Political Science. He completed his LL.B from the same University in 1997 again securing highest marks. He completed his LL.M in 1999 with environmental law as specialization. He is currently pursuing Ph.D in Environmental Law on Emerging Rights to Environment Protection in India – A Critical Approach from the Banaras Hindu University. He joined Amity Law School in 2002. Specialization : Environmental Law, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law Mr. Risham Garg, Lecturer B.Com; M.A; LL.B; LL.M;Pursuing LL.D Mr. Risham Garg completed his graduation in Commerce in 1993, Masters in Economics in 1995 and LL.B in 1998 from C.C.S. University. He also completed his LL.M with specialization In Mercantile Laws from the same University. He cleared SLET (equivalent to UGC-NET) in 2001. He joined Amity Law School in 2002.He had accompanied the Amity Law School Moot Team as its coach to Vienna, Austria in Mar-Apr 2007. He was a Research Scholar at UNCITRAL library at Vienna in April 2007. Specialization : Jurisprudence, Private International Law, Legal Method Ms. Sanjivini Raina, Lecturer B.A; LL.B; LL.M; PGD in Cyber & Internet related Laws Ms. Sanjivini Raina did her graduation from Chaudhary Charan Singh University securing 2 nd Rank. She did her LL.B from Delhi University and LL.M from the Jamia Millia Islamia securing 1 st Rank and was awarded Gold Medal. She also did her Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber & Internet related Laws at the Indian Law Institute and was awarded special merit award in the year 2002. She cleared UGC-NET in June’ 2003. She joined Amity Law School in 2004. Specialization : Cyber Law, Intellectual Property Law & Commercial Laws. Mr. Vijay Kumar Himanshu, Lecturer B.A; LL.B; LL.M; Pursuing Ph.D Mr. Vijay Kumar Himanshu, after his graduation from Delhi University completed his LL.B and LL.M from the Banaras Hindu University. He is at present pursuing Ph.D from Delhi University on Law of Patenting of Biotechnological Invention and Its Impact on Public Health, Food Security and Environment. He has cleared UGC- NET also. He has a few publications to his credit. He joined Amity Law School in 2004. Specialization : Property Law and Labour Law. Ms. Belu Gupta, Lecturer B.A; LL.B; LL.M Ms. Belu Gupta did her B.A., LL.B and LL.M from Delhi University consistently securing the top position each time. She was awarded the Law Union Prize for being the topper of LL.M and other awards for securing the top position in the university. She has also cleared UGC-NET. She joined Amity Law School in August 2005. Specialization : Environmental Law, Constitutional Law and Law of Contract. Ms. Sadhana Sharma, Lecturer B.A; M.A (Sociology); M.Phil (Sociology); LL.B; Pursuing Ph.D Ms. Sadhana Sharma after completing her post-graduation in Sociology from Dr. B.R.A University, Agra did her M.Phil from the same University. She is also a graduate in law from Aligarh Muslim University and has qualified in the UGC-NET examination. She has 4 years teaching experience as a Lecturer in Sociology in different colleges. She joined Amity Law School in November 2005 Specialization : Sociology Ms. K. K. Geetha, Lecturer B.A; LL.B; LL.M Ms. K.K. Geetha has completed her LL.B and LL.M (Mercantile Law) from the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala and also cleared UGC-NET. She has qualified in the Judicial Service Examination (Munisiff-Magistrate) conducted by the High Court of Kerala. She practised as an advocate in the High Court of Kerala and has 4 years teaching experience in various colleges in the state. She has been working as Assistant Public Prosecutor in the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court, Ernakulam and has taken leave to join Amity Law School in May 2006. Dr. Anshuman Mishra, Lecturer B.Sc.; LL.B; LL.M; LL.D Dr. Anshuman Mishra completed his graduation, law graduation and LL.M from Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, UP. He cleared his NET-UGC examination in 2000. He was awarded LL.D degree by the Lucknow University in 2005. He started his teaching career in 1999 and has experience of eight years. He joined Amity Law School in 2006. Specialization : Administrative Law, Law of Torts and Election Law Ms. Seema Singh, Lecturer B.Sc.; LL.B; LL.M Ms. Seema Singh has completed Bachelor of Science from Awadh University and LL.B, LL.M from Lucknow University in the year 2007. She qualified UGC-NET in December 2006. She was awarded National Talent Scholarship and State level scholarships. She joined Amity Law School in April 2007 Specialization : Criminal Law Mr. Rakesh Singh, Lecturer B.Sc.; LL.B; LL.M Mr. Rakesh Singh turned to academics after his post graduation in Law from Lucknow University in 2003 with specialization in Business Law. He published a dissertation on “An appraisal of Central State Financial Relation in India with special reference to Federal Principle”. He has practised as a lawyer for five years and as such has sufficient exposure of such proceedings. He possesses teaching experience of around two years. Specialization : Administrative Law, Constitutional Law & Business Law Dr. (Ms.) Kiran Sharma, Lecturer B.Sc.; B.Ed.: LL.B; LL.M; LL.D Dr. Kiran Sharma is a science graduate from the Lucknow University. She did her B.Ed. and LL.B from the same University and was awarded National Scholarship by the ministry of Human Resources Development, Dept. of Education, Govt. of India, New Delhi on the merit of LL.B examination of 1990. Thereafter she did her LL.M and LL.D from CCS University, Meerut. She worked as Lecturer in Dayanand College of Law, Kanpur. She joined Amity Law School in 2007. Specialization : Company Law Ms. Om Prabha, Lecturer B.A.(Hons); LL.B; LL.M Ms. Om Prabha has graduated from Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi in BA(Hons) in Political Science and thereafter she graduated in Law from GJU, Hisar and later on she persuaded LLM from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. She qualified UGC NET exam in 2006. She has been teaching in Institute of Law & Management, Gurgaon and has joined Amity Law School in 2007. Specialization : Family Law, Constitutional Law & Criminal Law Ms. Anju Berwal, Lecturer B.Com; LL.B; LL.M Ms. Anju Berwal is B.Com with 1st division from Kurukshetra University, passed LL.B with Gold Medal from Punjab University, Chandigarh, passed LL.M with 1st division from Punjab University, Chandigarh, passed UGC-NET in 2005 & 2006, qualified Junior Research Fellowship Award conducted by UGC in 2007. She has three years teaching experience. She has been working as Lecturer in Law in Rayat & Bahra College of Law, Punjab University, Patiala. Specialization : Family Law, Property Law & Law of Evidence. Ms. Rashmi Nagpal, Lecturer B.A.; LL.B; LL.M Ms. Rashmi Nagpal BA, LL.B with Gold Medal and LL.M from Punjab University, Chandigarh. She qualified UGC-NET in 1998. Specialization : Environmental Law. Ms. Mansi Sharma, Lecturer LL.B(Hons); LL.M; Pursuing LL.D Ms. Mansi Sharma has completed LL.B(Hons) from Lucknow University, Lucknow and LL.M from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Presently, she is pursuing LL.D from Faculty of Law, University of Lucknow. She qualified UGC-NET exam in 2006. She possess teaching experience if around two years. Specialization : Human Rights, Environmental Law, Law of Contract. Mr. Nimesh Das Guru, Lecturer B.Sc, LL.B; LL.M Ms. Nimesh has completed his LL.B from Campus Law Center, University of Delhi and LL.M from National Law School of India University, Bangalore. He qualified UGC-NET exam in 2007. He has teaching experience of more than two years. Specialization : International Human Rights Law, Jurisprudence. Dr. Pallavi Gupta, Lecturer LL.B; LL.M; Ph.D Dr. Pallavi Gupta has completed LL.B from Agra University, LL.M and PhD from Rohilkhand University. She has also completed a PG Diploma in Cyber Law from the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi in 2004. She has teaching experience of more than six years. Specialization : Commercial Law, Law of Taxation. Ms. Taranjeet Duggal, Lecturer MA; PGDBA Ms. Taranjeet Duggal has done her masters in Sociology. She holds Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration with specialization in HR and Training. Also holds a Diploma in Training and Development. She has eight years experience in corporate training and in academics. The areas of her competence include Communication and Presentation Skills, Positive Attitude, IPR, Assertiveness training, Stress Management, Team Building, Internal Motivation and Conflict Management. She has four published papers to her credit. Ms. Duggal has been teaching Personality Development and Communication Skills in Amity Law School. Ms. Supriya Srivastava, Lecturer M.Sc.; M-III level in German Ms. Supriya Srivastava joined Amity in October, 2007. She has done M-III level (six semesters) German from Max Muller Bhawan. She has done M.Sc. Botany from Lucknow University. She has 2 years of teaching experience at Mayoor School, Noida nad 6 months teaching experience at Business School of Delhi. She is teaching German to the students of Amity Law School. Mr. Jitender Bagga, Lecturer Bachelors Degree; Certificate course in French Mr. Jitender Bagga has completed 1.5-year certificate course in French from Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Paris. He has also completed eight semesters (Diploma superior) in general French from alliance francaise de Paris. He is teaching French to the students of Amity Law School.

Class Rooms Amity Law School has well-furnished air-conditioned classrooms with necessary instructional aids such as Over Head Projector, Black & White boards and microphone facility for each class room and LCD Projector for effective communication and interaction with the students, to facilitate class room discussions and project presentations. Library The Law library is traditionally considered to be the laboratory of a lawyer. The library of Amity Law School is one of the best libraries in Delhi, which is catering to a student community of approximately 600 in addition to researchers in law. The library has over 15000 books including bound volumes of various law reports and journals. The library subscribes to over eighty journals and law reports on a regular basis. In addition, we have 20 magazines and seven daily newspapers also. Every year about one thousand books are added to the collection. We are also having a large collection of books/journals/law reports donated by reputed lawyers and other individuals. The library follows the open access system wherein the students can access the books they want to refer directly from the shelves. It has a computerized database from which one can trace any book with the help of library staff / librarian. The library can accommodate about one hundred users at a time. Computer Lab The school has a computer lab which is air-conditioned and fully equipped with adequate number of terminals with latest configuration and more than 50 computers with internet connectivity for the use of the students, teachers and staff working in the Amity Law School. Moot Court Hall We have a Moot Court Hall designed like a courtroom for the purpose of conducting Moot Court Competitions. It is compulsory for the 1st year students to participate in internal moot court competitions and thereafter for the internal selection for participating in competitions organized by other institutions and Universities. The Moot Court Hall is also used for conducting and judging competitions at the Amity National Moot Court Competitions held annually.
