The Angappa Educational Trust, Coimbatore was founded in the year 1975 by our founder secretary Thiru T.V. Angappan, B.Com., Eminent industrialist and educationalist of Coimbatore. The trust is engaged in selfless service in the social and educational spheres.
Our founder comes of an illustrious family of educationists viz T.A.Ramalingam Chettiar and T.S.Avinashilingam Chettiar. He is a simple and easily-accessible philanthropist. He runs an old age home in Mettupalayam for the aged men and women, and an orphanage for young children. He has ambitious plans for the development of the institutions, particularly the Angappa College of Arts & Science.
He believes that the real service to people is only to give the light of education to all. The trust ably managed by him, was born out of this conception and the institutions instill discipline and academic proficiency in the young boys and girls.
The college was established in the year 1997 in T.A.Ramalingam Chettiar Higher Secondary School campus in Saibaba Colony and it was shifted to the present spacious and serene campus in May 1999. All essential facilities are available here including vast playgrounds.
