B. N. College of Education was inaugurated by Prof. Amitabh Mattoo, Vice Chancellor University of Jammu on 22nd July, 2004.On this occasion, Prof. O. S. Soodan Registrar, University of Jammu, Sh. Ram Sahai, President chamber of Commerce, a leading Businessman Sh. Devinder Rana, Dr. C. L. Gupta Dr. S. K. Gupta, and Hajji Lal Mohd. (Bombay), Architecture Sh. B. V. Sharma, Er. Darshan Gupta, Er. O. P. Gupta Retd. Chief Engineer among others attended the inaugural ceremony of B. N. College of Education.
B. N. Educational Institutions are named after Baba Nizam-Ud-Din, an illustrious 20th century Indian saint-politician. He was a unique combination of lofty political wisdom and high idealistic ideals whose towering personality suggests striking comparisons to Socrates, Mahatma Gandhi and Martin-Luther King. He was the son of late Hazrat Main Abdullah who is popularly venerated as Jee Sahib over the Indian Sub-containment. The Shrine of Hazrat - Jee Sahib is situated at Wangat Kangan, Kashmir. Hazrat-Jee Sahib migrated to Kashmir from Subha Sarhad for the propagation and dissemination pf people; he made tireless arduous efforts for their economic enlistment. He bequeathed the legacy of selfless service to his son Hazrat- Nizam- Ud-Din.
Baba Sahib in 1972. He is lies buried in Wang at, Kanga. The burial ceremony of the political-spiritual luminary, besides thousand other dignitaries, was attended by Sher-I -Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, Mirwaiz Mohammad Farooq and Maulana Sayeed Massodi. Baba Sahib has innumerable admiring disciples all over India, Pakistan and Afghanistan. Very often he is reverentially and lovingly called Hajji Baba by them. Er. Abdul Ghani kohli, the chairman of B. N. Educational Trust is one of these devout disciples.
