Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) is an undergraduate degree in computer application awarded in India after completion of three years course.

Scope of BCA:

The course of BCA has been amongst the most demanding course for Indian youths. However, the scope of BCA has been not so great now-a-days. The bachelor level course in India has always suffered a back look. Since BCA is a bachelor level course, the scope can be further improved if an individual candidates under takes a master level course.

Job Prospects:

We know that India is an IT power thus it is obvious that the course of BCA will provide jobs in the IT sector. The companies such as Wipro, Infotech, Satyam, Tata Consultancy Service, Siemens Communications, and even International companies such as Vodafone, and Essar Communications are hiring applicants from the most reputed colleges as well as Universities of India.

It is of out sounding news to know that even the applicants are getting placements in dairy firms. The firms are hiring more of the BCA applicants for there software based queries.

Admissions/Eligibility:

A Candidate for admission to the three-year post graduate course in Master of Computer Applications must have passed the qualifying examination (10+2+3) or equivalent with Mathematics as one of the subjects in 10+2 level.

The admission to the MCA course, under "Category A" seats, is through a State-Level Entrance Test called "Integrated Common Entrance Test" (ICET), conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

75% of the seats under “Category A” are filled by the Convener of ICET based on the rank secured in ICET and as per the rules of reservation in force

25% of the seats under “Category B” are filled by the Management based on the guidelines issued by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh from time to time
