Bhaktavatsalam Memorial College for Women

Bhaktavatsalam College for Women was started in a suburban area in Korattur during the academic year 1993-1994 by Bhaktavatsalam Memorial Trust with Dr.K.V.Kupusamy as the Chairman, Smt. Sarojini Varadappan as the Vicse Chairman, Smt. K.Padmavathy as the Trustee of the Trust. This year Mr.K.Senthil Ganesh has been included in the Trust as Managing Trustee. Within the shortspan of six years the student strength has increased to 1100.

With the sole aim of serving for the betterment of women through education Bhaktavatsalam Memorial College imparts life oriented education with job avenues, which in turn will generate an enlightened women force full of ambitions and aspirations, rightly matched to the realities of life.

Placements:

A separate cell leaded by a Staff to assists the students to obtain their projects during their final year studies. Apart from this, the cell invites a number of prospective employers for the placement of our students. We conduct campus interviews and global job placements for the deserving students. Many students are being placed in reputed companies in India and abroad.

Infrastructure:

Here the special focus is on the training of women as the center of the family with the ability to support in all spheres. No wonder this College is the first Women's College in India to offer B.Sc. Hotel and Catering Management, exclusively for women. The sprawling campus is self - contained with a beautiful library, state of art computer center and laboratories pertaining to each Department. The girls' hostel is located in close proximity and the fleet of buses, further help in the growth of this institution. The main college library is well stocked with over 200 reference text both Indian and Foreign on different topics of food and beverage production service, Housekeeping, Front office operations, Management, Law, Engineering, Hotel Accounting etc. we have subscribed journals for the students to gain knowledge and to update news in the hospitality industry.
