The CTET-FEB 2014 Examination was conducted on 16.02.2014 (Sunday) throughout the country and abroad in which approx. 8.26 lakh candidates were registered for either Paper-I or/and Paper-II.

Accordingly, as per the aforesaid NCTE Notification regarding extension of time duration to complete TET, the schedule for CTET-July 2014 Examination stands revised as follows :-

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for the year 2014 is scheduled to be conducted in  2014.

CTET July 2014 Eligibility Criteria:

The candidates having the following minimum educational qualification are eligible for appearing in CTET.

Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage):

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002 OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)* OR
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage:

  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
  • OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
  • OR
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
  • OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
  • OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.

How to Download CTET July 2014 Admit Card:

The candidates may download their admit cards from CBSE website from 03.01.2014 onwards and appear for the examination at the given Centre. In case of any discrepancy in the particulars of the candidate or his photograph and signatures mentioned in the admit card and Confirmation Page the candidate may immediately contact CBSE for necessary correction.

CTET 2013 Examination Fee:

Only Paper – I or II

  • General/OBC: Rs. 500
  • SC/ST/Differently Abled Person: Rs.250/-

Both Paper – I and II

  • General/OBC: Rs. 800/-
  • SC/ST/Differently Abled Person: Rs. 400/-
