The Anaparthi Educational Society was founded by Sri Goluguri Bapi Raju Garu along with other eminent people like Sri P. Ammi Reddy Garu, the then MLA, and many philanthropists, agriculturists and industrialists of Anaparthi and surrounding villages in the year 1979. The main objectives that enunciated Sri Goluguri Bapi Raju Garu for forming the society are
To provide Education to children in rural area.
To encourage Women’s Education.
To provide value based Education.
To develop discipline and patriotism.
It is a daunting task to realize the above objectives. He wanted to start immediately Junior and Degree colleges in india. He went around, collected donations from the philanthropists. He devised innovative ideas in collecting money. He pooled resources, collected money and purchased the required land just near to the Railway station. He purchased 17 acres of land, which is helping us to establish more number of institutions satisfying conditions of land and other physical facilities required for these new institutions. Or else, it must have become extremely difficult to provide required land at an exorbitant cost of the site.
With the support of the founder of Anaparthi Educational Society Sri Bapi Raju, the then MLA Sri Padala Ammi Reddy approached the government and with the kind blessings of Dr. Marri Chenna Reddy, Former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Permission was accorded to the Anaparthi Educational Society to start Junior and Degree College. Junior and Degree Colleges were established separately in the year 1980. Befitting the contributions made by Bapi Raju Garu the institutions were named after him. Both these institutions have grown from strength to strength and became larger, flourishing and reputed institutions. The present strength of junior and degree colleges are 810 and 740 respectively. Considering the educational services to the poor, backward and rural children especially women, the Government was kind enough to admit these institutions into Grant-in-aid. Much relief came to the society, because the financial burden was taken care of by the government. Encouraged by government’s financial support, the society diverted its attention to provide necessary buildings labs and libraries. 10 more acres of land was purchased. Philanthropists were approached again to provide funds for the construction of buildings. The donors' names were given to the classrooms, People came forward to contribute to the classrooms.
