Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Information Technology (GJIMT)- Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Information Technology (GJIMT) was set up in 1998 under the aegis of Gian Jyoti Educational Society (GJES) ), which was established in the year 1974 by renowned educationists and professionals to set up educational institutes of national repute. In just about ten years since its inception, GJIMT has become a name to reckon with in Punjab. GJIMT has been ranked 35th among the top 50 B-Schools in India and The Best in Punjab by the CSR-GHRDC survey published in Competition Success Review Super Special Dec 2007 Issue.

GJ-IMT is an ISO 9001:2000 certified AICTE approved institution affiliated to Punjab Technical University (PTU), Jalandhar, offering MBA and MCA courses and an approved centre for Phd programme.

GJES has also established one of its kind centre of excellence in the country in collaboration with PTU's Gian Jyoti School of TQM & Entrepreneurship.It offers B.Tech in Industrial Engineering with specialisation in TQM to the diploma holders.

MBA

This course is a full time course of Punjab Technical University and also approved by All India Council for Technical Education, Govt. of India. The present days demand constant change in business administration. Persons holding the managerial positions are required to cater to the business needs. Hence Professional Managers are in great demand. MBA course produces such managers.

Six to eight weeks on the job training in the corporate sector is an integral part of the curriculum. The institute placement cell led by the placement coordinator ensure that every student is provided with an opportunity to undrtake training in an organisation of repute.

Infrastructure:

The Institute has created a world class Infrastructure across three acres of Wi-Fi enabled campus with built up area 60,000 sq. fts. to provide state-of-the-art education to its students. Cisco and Microsoft certified labs with 265 PCs of the latest configuration two servers have been created to impart quality education to management and computer application graduates. Six mbps broad band facility is being provided to the students and the faculty to provide them with quality internet connectivity for research and exploration of informative material. Library of GJIMT is well stocked with more than ten thousand latest good quality books, two hundred journals and periodicals. A good number of computers, electronic databases, CD-ROMs are available for the students in the spacious and air conditioned premises of the library. 17 air-conditioned classrooms of GJIMT are equipped with computers, audio-visual instruments, LCD projectors, overhead projectors, white Boards etc. The institute has well equipped auditorium with a sitting capacity of 200, which is actively used for developmental and cultural activities. Two well furnished syndicate rooms with a seating capacity of more than 50 are an ideal platform to organize intellectual activities of varied nature. All the members of the staff are provided with independent cabins, computing and internet facility in six Staff Rooms to perform their respective duties in an effective manner.

Hostel & accomodation:

Library Libraries are not merely the store house of knowledge, but are foundation on which students and faculty built up the professional careers and develop the virtues of life. We have two separate and spacious air conditioned well furnished Libraries for post graduate programmes stocked with 6913 titles and 9828 volumes, which subscribe to 89 journals and periodicals, 80 journals on exchange basis and 8 national and financial newspapers. 100 students can sit in serene learning environment for individual & group study at a time. Library remains open beyond the normal timings of the institute for the students to utilize the library facility for the reference and study purposes. Sports Centre A well equipped gymnasium & sports centre ensures that the students are able to develop a wholesome personality.Facilities for games like Table Tennis, Badminton, Volley Ball, Carroms, Chess, etc are provoded by the institute for the students. Intra-college matches for different games are organized & college teams are sent to compete at Inter University competition.
