Institute of Technology and Management, Gurgaon (ITM) - Institute of Technology and Management, Gurgaon (ITM), a private autonomous institution was founded in 1996, to promote excellence in Technical and Management education by Educate India Society, registered under the Registration of Societies Act of 1860.

The Institute was conceived in response to the acute deficiency of centers of higher learning in the country as also, the need to develop relevant human capital to meet the technology and management challenges of the 21st century.
The founders had a clear and well defined mission - to build an unaided, self - financed institution committed to delivering education of internationally recognized standards, an institution that would go on to serve as an intellectual resource base in India and the sub-continent.

•To meet the challenges of emerging trends in Science, Technology and Management in the liberalized, dynamic and market driven economic environment, the development of relevant professional manpower has become increasingly necessary. Accordingly, the primary goal of the Institute is :
• To provide rigorous high quality and relevant education in India, designed to meet national needs and international standards, so that, the student community would have an alternative to seeking such education in a foreign country, at a significantly lower cost.
• To develop well rounded and professional graduates with a breadth of knowledge and the capability for analytical thinking who are committed to excellence in their personal and professional endeavors and, who have the vision, courage and dedication to operate successfully in a dynamic, technology driven global environment.
• To establish close ties with the corporate community and academicians of national and international repute. This will act as a rich resource of advice and information and shall help in keeping the curriculum relevant to the needs of business.
