The Institute for Technology and Management - The Institute for Technology and Management was founded with an academic association with The Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), USA . The curriculum, academic standards and pedagogy of SNHU formed the basis of ITM's Masters Program. In the years since, the Institute has expanded its collaborations to include distinguished Universities across Europe and Asia , evolving academic programs of International repute.
The ITM Group of Business Schools has grown from one Business School in Mumbai, to 7 campuses by the year 2004. Starting with a 2 year fulltime Masters program in 1991, The ITM Group of Business Schools is currently conducting 15 programs, in a broad range of fields including Financial Markets, Retail, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, Risk Management, Human Resources etc.
The Institute's growth is not limited to new buildings and campuses. Several path breaking programs were launched across its various campuses. In 1999, ITM started specialized Masters programs in Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Management, IT Management, and Banking & Insurance at ITM Hyderabad.
Post Graduate Diploma in Management
Founded in 1991, ITM Business School is one of the first private, not-for-profit, non-aided business schools in India. The Post Graduate Diploma in Management, is an AICTE approved course, equivalent to an MBA degree and is offered from all the four ITM Business School campuses. The Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Management is also an AICTE approved course, currently being offered only at the ITM Business School, Navi Mumbai Campus.
In founding ITM, Prof. P.V. Ramana envisioned that ITM would not be a single location Business School, rather a network of several Business School campuses that provided the ITM Quality of Management Education in major cities across India. ITM is at heart, an Entrepreneurial operation- established as a result of the commitment to the Ideal that a private, non-aided business school could survive and thrive in the mostly regulated environment of education in India. In that venture, ITM has achieved the status of a Pioneer among private business schools in India.
Over the last 17 years, the PGDM program has evolved into a unique blend of core management subjects, cutting edge knowledge areas and modern academic practices.
The PGDM program developed into a rite-of-passage, which has led to ever improving careers and lives for over 3000 young managers from all corners of India and the world. The program and the ITM campuses that offer it, have matured greatly since the inception of the Institute in 1991.
