International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT)-International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) founded under the Public Trust Act 1950 in 1979 by Mr. Pralhad P. Chhabria, formerly known as HOPE Foundation is a Public Trust and Society Foundation a well-known industrialist and philanthropist and Chairman of the Finolex Group of Companies and his brother Mr. Kishan P. Chhabria, Managing Director, Finolex Industries Ltd. International Institute of Information Technology (I2IT) is the world leading, research driven, new generation university in the making that offers advanced postgraduate programs in Information Technology, Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Oil & Gas, CFD, Engineering & Management. The Education Division of the Hope Foundation was established in 1996 with the setting up of the Finolex Academy of Management & Technology (FAMT) at Ratnagiri, the first engineering college in this relatively underdeveloped area. Spread over 35 acres of land in the M.I.D.C. area at Mirjole, Ratnagiri, the academy is affiliated to the Mumbai University and has obtained the approval of the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).

The Trust’s Educational Division has expanded its scope with the establishment of the International Institute of Information Technology (I2IT) at Hinjewadi, Pune. Brainchild of Padmashree Dr. Vijay Bhatkar, this is an institute of higher learning that is rapidly gaining renown for its relevance to the industry and the rigour of its academic training.
