Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) - Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT)has fast emerged as a centre of excellence in the field of professional education in India. What started in 1992 as a nondescript industrial training institute functioning from a rented building with only 12 students and two faculty is now a diversified group of institutions offering academic programmes from Kindergarten to Postdoctorate level. The institute has twelve sprawling campuses built on 300 acres of land.
Located in an idyllic setting in Bhubaneswar, it is committed to set international benchmark of excellence in the field of professional learning. Academic programmes of KIIT University are imparted from its seven constituent schools that are School of Technology, School of Computer Application, School of Biotechnology, School of Management, School of Rural Management, School of Medicine and KIIT Law School. KIIT has the distinction of becoming the youngest institute ever in the country to be declared a University (U/S 3 of the UGC Act, 1956) by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
Academic programmes of KIIT University are approved by Statutory Bodies of Government of India, besides UGC; and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) of All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC) of the University Grant Commission (UGC). Established in 1997, School of Technology is one of the constituent schools of KIIT University. It functions from Kathjodi Campus, which holds in its lap air-conditioned classrooms, modern labs, faculty block, conference hall, open air theatre, indoor stadium and ladies' hostel. The School offers B.Tech and M.Tech programmes, besides research programmes leading to doctoral and post doctoral degrees.

ONE YEAR P.G.DIPLOMA IN BANKING & INSURANCE MANAGEMENT (PGDBIM)
The basic thrust of the program, is to impart the knowledge and skills, essential for managers to operate successfully, in the increasingly dynamic and complex business environment. It is designed to deepen the participant’s understanding, of the individual in the organizational setting, the environmental context of the organization, the dynamics of the organizational functioning and the analytical tools and techniques required, in the management of the organization.
The uniquely paced, two-month compulsory Summer Training, in industrial and business organizations, follows the first year course work. The summer training is aimed at providing exposure to real life organizational settings. Here the participants are required to work on specific, time bound organization related assignments.
The second year academic year, spread over three terms, comprises of two compulsory courses, along with a package of electives of advanced and applied nature. A participant can have an opportunity to develop in-depth understanding and focussed concentration, in areas of their interest. The institute offers the following areas of specialisation.
