Lal Bahadur college - Lal Bahadur college was started in the year 1970, as an undergraduate college, sponsored by Osmania Graduate's Association and Exhibition Society, Hyderabad. The college which was started with four classes of BA / B.Com / B.Sc, with about 200 students and 10 members of staff has today thirty classes from Intermediate to Post-Graduation in Arts, Science, Commerce and Management. It has about 120 staff and more than two thousand students. It is located in 25 acres of land in between Hanamkonda and Warangal with spacious buildings accommodating laboratories, class rooms, library, sports complex, audio-video library, auditorium and a separate building for MBA programme.
The academic achievements of the college in the last 35 years under the jurisdiction of Osmania and Kakatiya Universities are the hallmarks of its service to the society in general and youth, for this region in particular. The institution has attained a special recognition in the commerce and business education by achieving the highest number of gold medals and distinctions in the University results.
Several of the students are placed in important positions in industry, business Banking, Insurance, Legal and other Professions.The College has a very good library and reading hall. It has large collection of books on Business Management with back numbers of various National & International journals and magazines. It has number of audio & video cassettes on academic subjects. The computer center is well equipped with Internet facility. It has a games complex with indoor and outdoor games and sports facilities to enhance the physical endurance of youngsters. This year NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) has accredited this college with "A" grade.
The teaching of management education in the college is a feather in its cap in the last eight years. The course has affiliation of Kakatiya University and approval of All India Council for Technical Education, New Dehli. The Department of Business Management is having well qualified and full-time regular faculty committed to give their best to promote business skills. The college also hosts Post Graduate Management Programmes and other programmes of Indira Gandhi National Open University under distance education mode using modern electronic media like tele-conferencing, audio- video programmes etc., With all the above achievements, the college feels that the academic excellence has no limits and it continues to strive to reach higher and higher heights.
