ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Passed the HSC (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and secured minimum 50% marks i.e. not less than 150 marks out of 300 marks (45% marks i.e. not less than 135 marks out of 300 marks for backward class category candidates from Maharashtra) in the Subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together.
AND
A candidate who have passed the diploma course in Engineering / Technology affiliated to Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra State (MSBTE) or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks.

Library
Total Stock:
The total number of books exceeds 36545 including more than 21500 technical books.
Expanse:
There are four separate halls, one each for Reference Section, Circulation Section, Reading Hall, Journals and Traditional Science Section.
Computerization:
The library is computerized using SLIM++ Software and independently uses one server (Reference Section) with four terminals. An internet connectivity also is operated for addition of new books selected from various web-sites; in addition to routine selection and procurement process.
Technical journals:
Library regularly subscribes to 128 titles of which 59 are international titles (including IEEE). Also eight more journals are received gratis, which include three foreign titles. The library has joined the INDEST-AICTE consortium, through which library subscribes to 5 online data-bases namely: ASCE, ASME, IEL Online, ESDU, and Springer Link. This facilitates access to more than 765 online journals with back-issues.
CDs:
A separate stock of over 1300 CDs is maintained separately.
Magazines and Newspapers:
15 newspapers and 10 magazines are regularly subscribed and are made available in Reading Hall for students and staff.
Reprographic Facilities:
Library extends reprographic facility to its users. Central library owns an A3 Printer-Scanner-Copier.
The e-campus
With due respect and importance to the IT Revolution and being a technological institution, MAEER's MIT Pune has taken all the steps to equip its students with all the advantages this revolution has to offer. With its help we have transformed MAEER's MIT Pune campus into a true e-campus with a total of 400 computers connected with fiber-optic backbone networks and server-client technology.
This centre is perhaps the first of its kind established at an Educational Institution in Pune. The e-campus comprises of a state-of-art Internet Centre, which remains open for 24 hours and has been connected with a 4MBPS leased line through ERNET which facilitates high-speed Internet Access and uninterrupted connectivity throughout the campus. Pentium IV computers are operated as workstations and a state-of-the-art-server from top line brands is installed.
Besides, the working of this centre is looked after by qualified full-time staff and has been also provided with a small conference room, server room with printing facility.
Canteen
Spacious and well-equipped canteen facility is available at MIT's campus. A complete and planned meal is served in neat, clean and hygienic surroundings. Apart from north and south Indian nutritious break-fast, lunch and dinner, the canteen also serves appetizing Chinese food. Tea, coffee and soft drinks along with snacks are also available. All the items are reasonably priced. Monthly Mess facility is also available for the students as well as staff members.
Bank Facility
Financial transactions either with the institute or personal are an inevitable part of student life. To provide banking convenience to students, 'The Sangli Bank Ltd.' and a branch of the 'Bank of India' is available with an ATM center at the college premises itself with all the necessary facilities, which will further facilitate the students to carry out the important banking interactions like cash withdrawal or cheque deposit. 'Western Union Money Transfer' service - a fastest way to receive money from abroad is also available in the on-campus banks.
Medical Services
Fully equipped dispensaries with doctors are available at our premises. Various medical check ups and campaigns are held free of charge for all the students and faculty members during every academic year.
Meditation Centre
In today's highly competitive world, only those who gain total control over their mind will rise above the ordinary to lead happy and successful lives.
At MIT Pune, 'Excelling means not just in studies but in life too. With the responsibility to create better citizens, MIT has built the 'Meditation Temple' which is set in the most appropriate and natural surrounding amidst, green trees. 365 steps lead you to ' Meditation Temple ' which is at the top of a hill behind the World Peace Centre.
NCC
"National Cadet Corps" is considered to be the second line of defence for the country. Youthful, energetic, sincere & patriotic boys & girls come together and work as NCC cadets, with the motto, "Unity & Discipline". NCC helps a great deal in shaping up the overall personality of these young men & women, who would be the responsible citizens of tomorrow & in whom lies the future of the country.
On MIT campus, the activity of NCC, was started in the year of 1995, with a minimal number of cadets.
Sports & Recreation
We take every effort to encourage our students to participate in various social, cultural and sports activities. The college has its own cricket, football and volleyball grounds. It also has 1500 sq. ft. modern style well equipped gymnasium. Table Tennis, Carrom and Wrestling facilities are also provided. Our students have participated and won number of prizes at Inter-Collegiate, University, State and National levels. MIT Pune has successfully organized several sports tournaments including Inter-Engineering Athletic Meet, Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis tournaments, Zonal level Boxing, Badminton, Chess tournaments and Inter-Professional College Volley ball, Basketball tounaments, and so on.
All the sports facilities are well looked after by a proficient sports in-charge Shri. P. G. Dhanave, B.Sc. B.P. Ed. M.Ed. (Physical) and is guided by a keen sports person Dr. M. Y. Gokhale who is Vice President of the Gymkhana.
Hostel & accomodation:
Enough hostel accommodation is available on campus for both boys and girls.
The campus hostel is located on Paud Road in salubrious and lush green surroundings. All the hostel buildings are provided with 24 hrs. security guards. Boys' hostel is a five storey building having accommodation for 400 students. Two separate buildings are meant for Girl-students, one in MIT School / Hostel campus near MIT boys hostel, with a capacity of 300 girl-students and the other building is located in the MIT College Campus, accommodating 175 girl-students.
There are various facilities in hostels like - canteen, public phone, cold drinking water, hot water for bath, etc. For entertainment the T.V. sets are available in recreation halls. However, viewing time is pre-defined. A Doctor visits the hostel, twice a week to conduct medical check-up.
Hostel accommodation is allotted to students strictly on merit basis during the first year. International students are given preference. Hostel buildings (one for boys and one building for girls) are located at S. No. 127/C, in MIT School / Hostel Campus, near Mahaganesh Colony, Opp. More Vidyalaya bus stop, Paud Road , Pune-38.
