The name of this college is Nabagram Hiralal Paul College and this is best college in west bengal state and this college is affiliated from university of calcutta and some information about university of calcutta:The Court of Directors of the East India Company sent a despatch in July, 1854 to the Governor-General of India in Council, suggesting the establishment of the Universities of Calcutta, Madras and Bombay.In pursuance of that despatch, the University of Calcutta was founded on JANUARY 24, 1857.The University adopted in the first instance, the pattern of the University of London and gradually introduced modifications in its constitution.The idea of establishing a university in Calcutta was first mooted by the Council of Education in 1845 which suggested that in view of the ‘advanced state of education’ in Bengal, it was advisable to have a full-fledged university empowered to grant degrees to deserving students. Accordingly it drew up an elaborate scheme modelled on the University of London. Nothing came out of it, at least at that moment.
