National Brain Research Centre (NBRC) was setup in year 2000 as an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. The major objective of NBRC is to undertake basic research in neuroscience using a variety of multidisciplinary approaches ranging from computational to biological. NBRC is the apex coordinating body for neuroscience research in the country. The National Neuro-imaging Facility has been set-up at NBRC, with advanced capability in image processing and neuro-computing. The NBRC has acquired the status of Deemed University and dedicated to Nation on 16th December 2003 by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam former President of India. NBRC is located on NH-8 at Manesar, Haryana 40 KM from New Delhi.
NBRC is presently functioning from its campus located in Manesar, Gurgaon. M/s. Raj Rewal Associates, New Delhi has been involved for Architectural design and all Engineering supports for tender preparation and evaluation etc. The NBRC is having Institute Building Block-3, Animal House, Utility Building, Hostel buildings and staff accommodation with required features for research activities. Now NBRC is looking for PMC for development and construction of balance works such as incomplete work of Institute Building Block-1 and other upcoming works. For this purpose incomplete building of Institute Building Block-1 will be handed over as and where basis along with inventory of executed work and tender document for completion of balance work.
The proposed building of IB-1 has office space for Director, Scientist, Officers, Staff and Laboratories, class rooms, library including cafeteria, common room, amphitheatre and other relevant and latest emerging features like central air conditioning, UPS and fire alarm system etc.
