The Science Club and Eco Club of Netaji Nagar Daycollege held seminars, workshops and exhibitions inside the College in order to develop environmental awareness among students and members of the staff. The students and members of the staff organized medical check-up. Medical checkup camp in collaboration with the Kolkata Municipal Corporation and some Non-Govt. Organisations. Campaigns among the local residents to make them aware of the prevention from diseases like Malaria, Thalasemia, Dengue, etc. were also effectively organized.
Netaji Nagar Day College aims at providing education at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels of education alongwith a value based education to its students who mostly belong to the displaced families form Bangladesh (i.e., erstwhile East Pakistan) and a considerable size of which belongs to such families receiving education at the first generation. Besides, some subjects of contemporary importance and job-orientation, such as, Computer Science, Information Technology, Environmental Studies, etc. are also taught here. Accordingly, necessary measures are adopted to reflect quality and to translate it to its various academic and administrative units. Besides offering adequate facilities of library and laboratory, seminars are also organized alongwith effective class teaching, personal counseling and continuous assessment of students.
