Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Technology & Science - Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Technology & Science was established in 1994 at Dehradun by Shri Guru Ram Rai Education Mission with the financial support of its parent body - Darbar Shri Guru Ram Rai JI Maharaj, a 361 year old religious and philantropic organization.
The Mission has a track record of commendable service of over five decades in providing modern education at reasonably low cost. easily affordable by middle class segment of the society. As on date, it runs 120 educational institutions in North India - a Postgraduate College, Inter-mediate Colleges affiliated with Uttarakhand Board of Education and Examination and English Medium Public Schools on CBSE pattern. In the Postgraduate and Inter-mediate Colleges free education is provided to the students and the fee in Public Schools is reasonably low.
Realizing the urgent need for providing facility of professional education in the region, the Mission started the Institute in 1994 with two professional programmes - MBA (FullTime and Part-Time) and MCA as per AICTE norms in 12.5 acres of land with well furnished building and required infrastructure. Later, BBA, B.Pharm and BCA, M.Pharm, M.Sc (Pharmaceutical Chemistry), B.Sc (CBZ) with Biotechnology courses were also started.
The Institute has come up as a centre of excellence for professional education, with its strength in:
(a) Highly qualified and dedicated core faculty, supported by highly experienced visiting faculty drawn from academics/industry.
(b) Hi-tech computer labs with latest hardware and software configuration and Broad Band Internet connectivity.
(c) Well stacked Library with over 17,500 volumes of books, DELN ET connectivity and over 50 national and international journals of repute.
(d) The Institute is recognised by HNB Garhwal University as Centre for Research in Management leading to Phd.
The Institute has separate departments for Management. Computer Applications pharmaceutical and Life Sciences
