ABOUT THE CELL:
The training and placement cell of the college is very effectively engaged in developing the students in all needed skills and placing in top companies. Students are also apprised on continuous basis through seminar and workshops etc. about higher learning opportunities in India and abroad. Right from fourth semester onwards regular training is conducted on total personality development and personal grooming of the students. Minimum 35 to 40 top companies visit to the college every year between 90% to 100% students are placed. The placement covers all branches equally including non IT branches Mechanical, Civil, IEM, Biotechnology etc and good number of non IT companies also visit to college on continuous basis along with IT companies. The training and placement of the college is headed by an MBA(HR) qualified training placement officer with 28 years of experience on HR/HRD related activities tasks.

Library:
The Central Library and Information Center encourages every user to use the library to his/her advantage. The library is fully automated. At present the library has 47,602 volumes, 13,739 titles of books, about 950 back volumes of scientific and technical journals, 268 video cassettes, and 1050 CD/DVD's. There are 57 hard copies of the journals. The library also subscribes to IEEE / IEE Electronic Library, American Society of Mechanical Engineers and Springer Link E-Resources through INDEST - AICTE Consortium. Sir MVIT library follows the Open Access System encouraging the user to browse freely in the stack area. The library is housed in a spacious block with an area of 1400.8 sqm spread over two floors.
The Library and Information Center comprises of Reference Section, Circulation Section, Audio-visual Section, Periodical Section, Socially Weaker Section, Book Bank, Reprographic Section, Digital Library and Browsing Section.
Standard text books and reference books by authors of repute in all fields are procured. The college follows a policy of buying multiple copies of many of these books, to make them available to a large number of users. Each student is issued 4 books, 2 of which can be retained for the whole semester and 2 for a period of 15 days. Two additional books are issued for those who secure first class with distinction. Every effort is made to procure titles recommended by the users. The institute is a member of British library, National Aerospace Library, Indian Institute of Science, Central Manufacturing Technology Institute, Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprises Bangalore and DELNET INDEST-AICTE Consortium New Delhi.
Audio-visual Section is equipped with video cassette recorder, colour television and projector with a collection of a number of educational cassettes for use of students and staff. The library provides Internet facility which enables the users to access the databases related to education as well as Research and Development and provide EDUSAT program. A good Reprographic Section has been established to meet the requirements of conferences, seminars, workshops and to help in carrying out R & D work including publications.

Staff Quarters:
There are three blocks of Staff Quarters’ accommodating teaching and non-teaching staff and one Bungalow for Principal in the College campus.
Besides that, 2 BHK and 3BHK staff quarters’ are under construction.
Canteen:
The College has a Canteen inside the campus in which both South Indian and North Indian dishes are available at reasonable rates. The canteen remains open on all working days. Beverages of different flavours are served on different days according to different seasons. A committee consisting of staff, students and trustees oversee the functioning of the canteen and its upkeep.
Transportation:
The College owns a fleet of 17 buses, a van and a TT to meet the transportation requirements. Bus passes are issued on first-come-first-serve basis (subject to availability of seats). Casual commuters, like parents and past students, who wish to avail transport facility, can purchase coupons at the reception counter for single journeys.

Health Care Facilities:
A 100 bed Hospital named Krishnadevaraya Hospital and Research Centre is located in the campus. The Hospital conducts periodical medical checks of the students and local population of the surrounding villages, with a view to create awareness regarding the health problems. The Hospital provides medical care to all the students and the staff of the institution round the clock. The Hospital has a team of experienced and specialised doctors. An ambulance is stationed to handle emergency cases needing specialised attention. Krishnadevaraya College of Dental Sciences & Hospital is also located in the campus to provide dental care to the students and staff.
Browsing Center:
The college has its own Internet Center with 20 terminals that provides browsing facilities to all students. The Center remains open till 8:30 PM in the evening on all working days.The college is connected to Airtel Broadband with 2 Mbps link
Hostel & accomodation:
There are four Men’s Hostels and two Ladies' Hostels. One more Ladies' Hostel block is under construction. These hostels accommodate around 640 boys and 300 girls. Day to day affairs of hostels are managed by Warden and resident Wardens. A Hostel Committee takes policy decisions. Accommodation is provided on a twin sharing basis. Rooms with basic furnitures like cot, table and chair are provided. Bed-rolls, linen etc. have to be brought by the students themselves. Strict discipline is maintained in the hostels. Late night entry, leaving hostel without permission are not allowed. Smoking and drinking in hostel premises is totally prohibited.
Students are not permitted to use any electrical appliances other than what are provided in the rooms except computers for which additional fee of Rs.100/- per month is charged. Students residing in hostels are expected to carry identity cards with them always. Entry of unauthorized persons is totally prohibited. Hostel mess serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food and boarders have to register their choice of food at the beginning of the semester.
