The Army Institute of Management

The Army Institute of Management, Kolkata was established on 28 July 1997 by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), New Delhi, to conduct state-of-art Management Programme for the wards of Army personnel with an opportunity for the general candidates as well. The eco-friendly campus is spreaded over nine acres of land at Alipore, in the heart of the City of Joy. AIM is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to the West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT). Within a short span of time AIM has become a ranked B-School in the Country. Library The self contained air-conditioned library has a collection of over 7400 books, reputed national and international journals on management and allied disciplines. It also has value-added services like reference, article abstracting, indexing and current awareness. AIM has information-rich corporate database like Capitaline Plus, which holds more than 11,000 company data. The library has a good collection of Educational Video Films and Computer Based Tutorials (CBTs). The library is fully automated with internet accessibility. "LibSys" - an integrated library management software has been used for automation of all functions and processes. It is accessible through any terminal over LAN. It has the option of Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). Database searches for locating references on any subject or topic can be performed. AIM is an institutional member of British Council Library, Kolkata and The American Library, Kolkata.
