`Vignana Jyothi’ was carved and created in the year 1991 by a dedicated group of
Industrialists, Entrepreneurs and Professionals who felt that education is the light that wipes
out the darkness of an uncertain future among the youth and determined to impart quality
education to them without selfish ends.
Vignana Jyothi society was established ten years ago by a group of like minded industrialists and businessmen of Andhra Pradesh with a view to plough back into the society something that could set the society flourishing. This group comprised successful industrialists, businessmen and professionals who had won recognition for their professional competence and business ethics.

Education is the backbone of a society's growth and development. It was therefore felt that maximum contribution to society can be made in this sphere. It was with this background that the Vignana Jyothi Society was formed with the objective of promoting excellence in education in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The society called "VIGNANA JYOTHI" was registered on 21st January 1991.

Today, Vignana Jyothi has created an edifice with unshakable foundations which can only grow higher and higher.Our Schools, Management Institute & Engineering College stand testimony to this.

Placements:

The Placement Cell is headed by an Associate Professor/ME. All the required infrastructural facilities such as computers with latest configuration, laser printer, internet facility, reprographic facilities, telephone and fax facility and the required staff are provided in the office of the Training & Placement Cell Training in skilled development for the students is arranged by reputed organizations like Globarina and Time. One senior faculty member from each department is associated with Training & Placement activities to help the students of the concerned Department. Mentoring, Training and Placement Cell is facilitated with three Airconditioned Group Discussion Rooms and two meeting rooms and one for Pantry. Pantry room to facilitate the hospitality and for serving the refreshments. GD Rooms serve the module of campus interviews and also for personnel counseling. Regular meeting on campus placement with major recruitment companies are held in the meeting room. A comprehensive training programme to face on campus interviews as per the standards of the major IT/Core companies with assistance from TIME Institute was held during the summer vacation for five days.

Student Activity clubs:

The Institute has adequate playground for sports activities on the campus. Necessary equipment and facilities have been provided. Physical Director is in charge of Sports Activities. A Basketball cement court with gallery has been provided. A multi-purpose playground is available in which athletics, ball badminton, cricket, football, handball, kho kho and volleyball facilities have been provided. Outdoor gymnastic facilities like parallel bar, horizontal bar and roman rings are provided. For girls, a separate basketball, volleyball, throwball and tennikoit courts have also been laid. In girls’ waiting halls, table tennis, caroms, chess, treadmills, exercise cycles and twisters have been provided. A separate Sports Complex called Kode Venkatadri Chowdary Sports Complex for housing indoor sports with state-of-the-art facilities including imported gym, three wooden badminton courts, three billiards tables, ten table tennis tables, dozen carom boards, 13 Nos. chess boards.  Yoga Center is available.
