Vel's College of Science - Vel's College of Science is permanently affiliated to the University of Madras. It is accredited by NAAC with B Grade status. Besides, the college has been included under 2F of the UGC Act -1952. Many of the application courses are approved by the AICTE, New Delhi.

The College offers 10 undergraduate and 12 postgraduate courses in applied sciences. The most prestigious courses like Biotechnology, Bio Informatics and Industrial Chemistry are conducted in advanced laboratories equipped with sophisticated equipments.

Hostel & accomodation:
There are separate hostels for men and women in the campus itself for the convenience of outstation students. The room rent and establishment charges will be fixed reasonably by the management. Arrangements have been made for washing clothes, which are to be collected and delivered periodically at the student's expenses. A fully qualified Medical Attendant is available at the campus. Medical and hospital facilities are available at Pallavaram itself and the cost of the same would have to be met by the students. Mess and Canteen facilities are available for the inmates at reasonable rates.
