Vishwakarma Institute of Technology

A land of 4 acres is exclusively reserved for Hostels by the Trust and has constructed a nine storey hostel building to accommodate 450 students. This complex is named as Vishwakarma International Center (VIC). The center has other facilities such as Library, Internet, Photocopying, Health Center, etc. Accommodation of international standards in single, double and triple bedded room each of about 50 square meter size having an attached toilet block is provided. Attached Bathroom and Pantry are also provided for each room. Separate kitchens and dining halls for vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine are available. Separate hostel building for girl students is under construction. Temporarily one floor in boys hostel is reserved for girls. Hostel Rector co-ordinates and controls the hostel activities. Students are required to abide by the rules of the hostel. Gymkhana Facilities A well equipped gymnasium is provided in the basement of Building 'B'. Students can avail themselves of this facility in the morning and in the evening, before and after teaching hours. Mr. M.A. Pandkar is overall in-charge of sports & gymkhana activities of the Institute. Faculty members of other departments are appointed as in-charge of individual sports like chess, table tennis, badminton, football, basketball, cricket, softball, etc. Vishwakarma Institute of Technology students are given guidance for sports activities, due to which they have been winning many prizes at inter- collegiate & inter-university levels.
